A torque spec is there for a reason.  The "feels about right" spec is not in the spec sheet.  Over-torquing is definitely not a good thing ...

The Glycerin/Alcohol mixture is used for wet filtering of the oil and water which makes it past the cartridge filters.  It's not a lubricant.

The Yaks are greased system, not an oiled system.
