I am making a test stand for an O-200. I have an engine mount from a Cessna 150 that has some bent tubing. Can anyone tell me the distance between the 4 mounting holes on the firewall so I can make a jig to hold the mount to replace the tubes?

OK Deems:

I have a salvage 1970 150K in my backyard with the engine mount still bolted to the firewall, I just went out with my Wife's help and measured the engine mount bolts. Appreciate that this was at night, with a Stanley tape measure, with my Wife holding the butt end. We checked everything twice, so this is our best effort under these conditions.

Spacing horizontally, top and bottom = 29 1/8"

Spacing vertically, left and right = 24 1/4"

If you need more, just ask.

Regards,

Randy, Las Vegas

Randy.

Thanks to you and your wife for the information. After I get the mount attached to the "firewall" fixture I will see if I need any other information.

Hi Deems/Randy,

I see about the same thing here on my C150M firewall. My engine mount is removed while I overhaul my O-200 so it's easy to get to the mounting holes:

29" wide
24 3/16" vertical

My excuses are a 25 degF hangar, no gloves/jacket, no wife to help, and all measurements taken one-handed with a Chinese tape measure. Wink
