Kolbers, this evening is to not to pity Mr Bourne but to wallow
in envy. 81 degrees and sunny. Lar, sho' do wisht I had
that renta car and reservation at the motel cheapo tonight.
If it weren't for burying myself in house reconstruction and
swilling cheap beer I'da took the bridge. It's been overcast
for something like 3 weeks straight here and SAD is more
like suicidal. The Kolb is covered with 2 inches of sawdust
from the saws.
Durn, wher'd I put that scotch.
-BB, still got all my fingers

I just gotta rub it in a bit, ol' buddy. This is the weather I paid the
dues for last summer, here in Furnace Springs. I just got back from 2 days
on the Colorado River, where I ran the boat from Cottonwood Cove on Lake
Mojave up to the base of Hoover Dam - 38 miles each way. Beautiful trip -
after I get thru editing over 150 pictures, I'll send ya some. It was sunny
and fairly warm there, with quite cool evenings. I'd guess 35 low and 70
high.
Gitcher self out here and wallow in it a bit. We can rent a plane this time
and go exploring.
Hadta do something........tried to fire Vamoose up last weekend, and found
that the fuel pumps were dead. No idea why. Last time I ran it, only to
find that persistent oil leak in the redrive, the pumps were brand new and
both worked fine with regulated pressure at 45 psi. Now, after sitting for
a few months, both of them show "open circuit" on an ohmeter. Called the
dealer, and they said the warranty is expired. I think it was just 30 days.
Called Walbro, the mfr., and the engineer I talked to said he's real
interested, and would love it if I'd send him one or both.........but won't
replace them. Soooo.........new pumps are ordered, and will be here next
week. Over $200.00 worth. Sigh. Lar.

Hang in there, Lar...
Electric fuel pumps have always left me in the skeptical mode... hope they
make it good to you.
Are you sure you wanna bet yer butt on electric pumps...?
Big cold snap - high 20's here in Brandon tonight... got the heating pads on
the cats on the pool deck tonight...
Waiting for the pictures you post ... that is beautiful country on the
Colorado...
Best Regards,
Beauford
