I got 10 of these NGKs for 19.95 over the internet - new! Has anyone changed out the wires trying to get rid of RFI in the radio? I have some Magnecor wires with rather high spiral wound inductance, and hope to change the wires and plugs to the NGKs Next question is - since I am doing that, has anyone also put a ferrite doughnut on the wire as well to soak up RFI - or is that over-kill? I have a GX-65 radio works fine, but when I get far away from the station I have to turn to squelch off and listen to the radio noise to hear the ATC in the background of the spark plug noise. Not impossible, but always trying to improve things!
It is RFI in that when I have the engine running on the ground, and turn it off, the noise goes away; also, when I have the engine running and unplug the antenna from the radio - the noise goes away (so do the received radio signals of course)

[quote] Bert,
The ever increasing price of the LOM plugs is causing more and more people to switch to automotive plugs and wires. The NGK 5123 DR8HS is the plug to use. NGK also make some nice caps/wires which fit the plugs and only need to be terminated at the magnet end.
As always, Pavel Novak is the authority on these things: novakp(at)shaw.ca (novakp(at)shaw.ca) I believe he may stock the wires.

I am looking for a set of spark plugs (L22.62 or L22.62A) for my Lom Engine. Can some one help?
Is there an equivalent plug that I can use?
