U-1002 isolator washers go on top of the four elastomers on the nose gear mount. Page 46-07 says to install the second U-1002 isolator washer later, after the elastomers have been set and taken shape. When will that be?

I would guess that would be checked by lifting the front of the plane,
and then when the nose gear is hanging free, lift the nose gear.
When you get slop there, then you'd want to add it. It would be
to take up extra slop so there's not so much of a gear drop
as you lift off the ground. Ideally you'd have a nut to adjust
so that you could take up all of the slop, and your gear would
never have any in it.
As for when, I guess that all depends. I haven't rechecked mine,
and might not until summer.
