Has anyone put the Goodyear 26" tundra tires on their Kitfox? If so, how did you like them? They are made for the blimp operations and I have heard they are pretty stiff even with low pressure. You also have to be careful with really hard breaking because you can rotate the tire on the rim and can snap the valve stems off the tube. They also weigh about 22lbs each. That's 44lbs of tires. Is this worth it?

I would also appreciated any comments on 8.00x6 and 8.50x6 tires as well.

Also, Alaskan Bushwheel is now making a 26" and 29" tire for light sport aircraft that are lighter then the regular ones the produce. They are called Airstreaks. Anyone have any experience with these tires or the regular Bushwheels?

Any feed back would be great.

Chris,
The Goodyears are nice tires but heavy.

We are a dealer for the Alaskan Bushwheel and have a set of the 26” for our aircraft. They are much lighter.

I know we are working with them to make a tire that is of the same design but a size between the 800 and the 850.

Hi
Each Goodyear 26" tire weight is 23 lbs. (pair is 46 lbs)
What about Alaskan Bushwheel ??

26" Goodyear U$S 520 each
26" Alaskan U$S 1000 each

price difference justify weight difference?
