Hi all,

For those interested in the fuel-flow and fuel pressure discussion.
I took the opportunity of a fuel system check, to take some actual
fuel-flow measurements. I still have to gather some suitable fittings to
conduct fuel pressure tests.

Gilles, very interesting.
I would like to make an admission.
In interpreting pressure-flow-restriction graphs and estimating pressure
drops it is useful to know that flow through a restriction is
proportional to the square of the pressure drop across it. I earlier
assumed erroneously that Ohm's law applies with pressure / flow
equivalent to voltage / current. Pressure-squared / flow comes closer to
being equivalent to voltage / current.

Gilles,
I would like to make another admission - improved version:
In interpreting pressure-flow-restriction graphs and estimating pressure
drops it is useful to know that flow through a restriction is
proportional to the square root of the pressure drop across it. I
earlier assumed erroneously that Ohm's law applies with pressure / flow
equivalent to voltage / current. Square root of pressure / flow comes
closer to being equivalent to voltage / current.
Sorry about the confusion.
Cheers,
Jan de Jong
