Hello JF, Sorry to hear that your engine is still giving you difficulty.
Some comments and questions:

1) What pump are you using for an electric fuel boost pump and to provide
priming fuel?

2) Do you have any way of reading the fuel pressure that the electric fuel
boost pump is putting out while you are priming the engine?

3) Have you tried turning the electric fuel boost pump on right after the
engine has started running to see if that would keep the engine running?

4) You wrote: "I am making an instrument which should help me to determine
depression that fuel pump must provide to be able to feed engine and check
if during a periode of time I encounter some variations with the depression"

This SID describes the official factory way of accomplishing what you are
planning and more:

http://www.tcmlink.com/pdf2/SID97-3E.pdf

I purchased two gauges and put together a mounting rig for those gauges and
some connecting hoses in order to perform the adjustments required by this
SID. Maybe some other IO-240 operator in your area has a set of gauges that
you could borrow. I'll post this to the group and hope for a response.

Even if you get your engine to just keep running on the ground the
adjustments called for in SID97-3E still have to be made to ensure a
properly running and safe engine before flying.

OC

Hello all,

FYI---- I have had my mechanical fuel pump rebuilt twice in less than 400
hrs. of use. The first time it was sucking air and the last time it was
leaking fuel. The diaphragm was hard and cracked.

I took mine apart to look at what failed, that is how I saw the condition of
the diaphragm. You will remove the lead seal to do this. My engine rebuild
shop then sent it to a repair shop to have it rebuilt, about $350.00. That
is the safest thing to do. You still have to do the flow and pressure checks
when you put it back on, as 'OC' commented on.

I took mine apart to see what was leaking because I found the the rebuild
shops don't give me much feed back on the problem, if any. I don't know,
liability maybe?

TCM indicates they should go to TBO, HA!
