The engine ran nice and smooth. The star-up was easy. The Dynon registered the EGT, CHT, oil pressure, ect as expected. The only issue was the RPM adjustment had not been made to the Dynon so the RPMs read about 50% of actual at the crankshaft.

Way to go John. Mine was the same but the Dynon is easy to set. Mine belched out a puff of smoke on the first firing, probably some engine preservative!

Great news, thanks for the video John. You are still ahead of me on the building and maybe gaining ground. Congrats on the successful engine start.

John,

Congratulations, you're getting close! Make sure to start it up once in a while as you finish building.
I let mine sit for quite a few months and the idle mixture circuit clogged up.

Thanks for the tip! Hopefully it won't be that long from now until I get it flying.

Ill bet you were watching that Dynon panel like a Hawk. Well done John. The video was nice. I hope to do my rotax first start in a few weeks time. My engine was installed in January 2007. I expect I'll need to do some work on the carbs first.......Geoff
