I am within a couple of weeks of getting my RV8 finished and I'm looking for some flight training. It looks like all the insurance companies require 5 hours dual with a CFI and 5 hours solo in an RV8 before any coverage would take effect. Does anyone know if there is an RV8 and a CFI available somewhere in the Eastern US that could provide this type training?

Thanks,
Breece Nesbitt

That sounds excessive if you have at least a couple of hundred hours . Most require dual but not solo as well.

Thanks Bill

Agreed. Not very easy to build hours solo w/o that make/model plane available. My insurance requested only 2 hours dual but I had almost 700 RV hours at the time. Good luck.

Thanks, Steve. I found Kent Gorton's website and sent him a note. Mallards Landing is only about 210 nm south-west of my airport. Breece
