Because of normal "randomness" in density distributions in the atmosphere,
differences between GPS and pressure altitude are expected. "Correcting"
them away is likely to make your altimeter wrong at the surface (where it
really matters) and not match other aircraft you may be flying among.
That said, 100 feet is well within the error allowed for a calibrated
pitot-static system anyway.
As for your numbers, all I ended up seeing in your email was "Emacs!", so
I'm guessing that there was a graphic that didn't make it through the digest
version of the mailing list.
