Ralph,

Keep in mind that Lycoming's service bulletin requires an engine tear
down anytime the prop damage is more than can be repaired on the
airplane. Your insurance may pay for the teardown inspection, which you
can upgrade to an overhaul if you wish...

Not sure if there's an AD making this mandatory or not.
