Hey all. Just wanted to introduce myself over here. I'm a long time fan of the L-39 warbirds. Real bird is way out of my price range for now, but I am working on a L-39 simulator/trainer for the house. My background - Spent 5 years active duty army as a MP, having gotten off active duty 2 years ago. Still in the reserves, and driving up to Phoenix every month for that. (I'm located down in Sierra Vista). I currently am a mechanical designer on a UAV for one of the aerospace/defense contractors. I am currently a volunteer with my local sheriff SAR posse, and certified for technical rescue, swiftwater rescue, and heli-rescue with AZ DPS birds. (Never thought I would wait til I got out of the Active Army to start rappelling out of helicopters...)
I love experimental aviation - it is my true passion. The ability to test ideas and try new things - experimental is where joe blow can impact the community as a whole.
Anyways, looking forward to meeting a few of you, and hoping this list is still active.
