Hello way down under, Taking a clue from Vince, I had always used clear
leading edge tape, it would last a few months, easy to replace and very
durable/or you might try a silicone rubber coating on the underside of the
fuse fairing where it meets the upper gear fairing so it slides more? .
Andrew NZ is somewhere down there with his rocket, might check with him as
he fly's off a sod field I believe. Cheer's, Bob

Hi all....
Looking after maintenance of a Rocket down here in New Zealand and the
owner would like to tidy it up a bit.
One of the jobs is to sort out the joint between the gear leg fairings and
the cuff that screws onto the fuselage. As the aircraft is operated off
grass alot, (sometimes quite rough) the fairings take a hell of a beating,
particularly where the fairing and cuff instesect and move with the springy
legs.
We have previously tried riveting a new section of Aluminium onto the top
of the leg but it is chafing and cracking up again.
Anyone out there got a good solution here? Some photos would be helpful

Regards, Jay
