Hey all,

MIT's computers indicate they awarded me an SB in Physics!

I fly to Boston soon for the ceremony on Friday.

I made it through with a 5.00/5.00 :O)

Mechanic, turned engineer, turned physicist with a bit of help from each one of you...

Hugs,

Sabrina

Congratulations, Sabrina.

I give up. What is an SB?

P.S. I'm impressed with your GPA it is bigger than mine. I only had
4.0/4.0.

MIT degrees are called "SB" because anyone else's degree is "BS" by comparison.

I am the first girl to ever win the MIT Physics Orloff Scholarship...

That means I am the first girl to earn the highest GPA at MIT Physics since at least the early 1990s and possibly well before that... No one can recall another graduating female physics major at MIT with a 5.00 .

To top it off, I also pulled the highest percentage in MIT's 2013 Physics Laboratory class.

Both Mind and Hand... :O)

I am now back in Switzerland, at CERN, for the summer, here is my senior thesis:

I move to Harvard in August.

Hi Sabrina,

On top of all your unusual accomplishments at MIT you failed to mention
getting your bachelor's degree in three years. That alone is an amazing
feat.
