Does anyone use the ol’ V-Jigs to assemble the elevators?   I posted earlier that I found my older elevators (built prior to the change in counterbalance design) were quite warped.   So, I’m building a new set of elevators.   I’m setting up V-jigs and plumb bobs to check straightness and are finding perhaps a slight bit of twist (but not as much as the older ones I built).   I have not match drilled or riveted yet. Ellis, I did talk with John about his RV, but the time isn’t right for me now unless he was trying to get rid of it in a black Friday sale or something like that. not sure about buying an engine that has been stored for 3 years either. Took a flight today in my traveler and it climbed out at 800 FPM, but it was light and real cold out. Wished it would climb like that in the summer.
