Bob,

While you are on the Jabiru subject regarding the Tachometer, I just re-wired my alternator coils from parallel to series to get some charging at lower RPM's. This is an approved change authorized by Jabiru. The Alternator has 2 coil circuits in parallel and I changed them to a single circuit in series.

I am using the Dynon DEK-180 for the RPM display. The directions are the same as for the Garmin which is to set up for 6 pulses per revolution. The tach indicator has been very steady and accurate for the last 200 plus hours. It is driven off the alternator / dynamo regulator. It will be another week or two before I will be able to run the engine. My question is - will changing the wiring from parallel to series change the number of pulses per revolution. ?? Will it change to 3 pulses per revolution?

Thank You for all the help you give to this and your AeroElectric List
