Hello to the Lightning list,
As a reminder to everyone, the annual Sun-N-Fun event is now only 10 days away. As always Arion Lightning is looking forward to another successful event and hoping to have many Lightning owners, builders, pilots, and anyone else interested in this fantastic aircraft being there. As in the past, the Lightning display area will be in the same location behind the FAA building. The new Lightning XS, with 160 HP Lycoming O-320, will be on display for everyone to see. This is their latest development and like all other Lightning models, a beautiful aircraft with amazing performance and flight characteristics. It is now my favorite Lightning and I have been lucky enough to have flown all the various models including the prototype back in 2006.
As in past years at Sun-N-Fun and Oshkosh, Arion will have a get together for owners and anyone else interested in the Lightning at noon on Friday, 24 April, in the booth. Nick and Mark will cover all the latest changes and plans for the future. It is your chance to meet others interested in the Lightning and ask any questions you might have.
Also, there are two Lightning forums scheduled this year on Thursday and Saturday (23 and 25 April). Both are scheduled for a start time of noon and will be in room 11 in the forums building, Nick will cover the various Lightning models including the EAB kit, which can be built to go fast or to meet light sport, and the "turn key" SLSA Lightning. We encourage current Lightning owners to also attend these forums so that potential buyers can meet you and ask questions.
I'm looking forward to seeing all "Lightning family" friends there and meeting new members as well. It is a great opportunity for everyone to gather information on this fantastic aircraft and talk to those who have experience flying it. See you there!

Buzz,
I'm planning to arrive Thursday abt noon depending on the airshow closings. And getting the new left mag in and operating.
Look forward to visiting with everybody.
How about an informal brain storming session on how to make Lightnings better and faster. Nick and Mark are doing a great job, but the competition is intense.

Hi Earl,
It will be great to see you again. I'll be at the Lightning forum starting at noon on Thursday, so won't be able to be there when you land like in previous years. So will just plan on meeting you at the booth. Your idea of a brain storming session sounds great. We can do that while at the booth and continue after hours when we are taste testing local beverages.
