As best I can tell, the tachometer used by Van's Aircraft and also sold by Aircraft Spruce is a Isspro model, and uses a sender that produces 8 pulses per revolution. Fairly certain that our coils will be producing 3 pulses per revolution. This is rather disheartening, because now I have to find a tach that will fit a standard 2.25" instrument hole and bolt pattern.

Ernest, I first used an E1 from MGL avionics. It worked well with a few wraps about the high tension lead to provide the tach input.
I have this unit sitting on a shelf collecting dust if you're interested, as I've replaced it with another engine monitor package.
Want it? Make a ridiculous offer.
