Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for. They seeem to be the only ones
with the 72" cable I need as well. I'm saving up my sheckles. Or yuans. Smile

About $70 USD, works great.

I marked the plywood where it will be glued to the spar, ribs, and nose piece. took it off and then varnished the inside in the areas where the t-88 won't be applied, as soon as the varnish dries I can glue it permanently in place.

i took the pre-bent panel off after marking where the t-88 will go and then put one coat of varnish on the rest of the inside of the plywood. Another coat and it will be ready to glue on.
I also got some of the smaller bracing glued in place on the wing

So, looking at thse, I’m curious, are the wings trammelled entirely by the diagonal and fore-and aft wooden braces that I see in the pictures, or will there be some sort of drag/antidrag wire system like in a full-sized Piet?

Looking great BTW!

You will want to trim off the tag ends of the cables where they stick out past the pressed sleeves, just so those ends don't hang up on anything. It will look a little neater too. When I re-did the tail brace wires on my airplane I slipped some heat-shrink tubing onto the cables before making up the thimbles, then slid it back over to cover the tag end after the pressing was done and I was happy with the connections. That was on thimbles that I had the chance to make myself, but since I didn't originally build my Piet, there were some thimbles and shackles that had some fraying cables that would snag my cleaning cloth or hand (ouch) and I couldn't get heat-shrink tubing onto those, so I used safety wire to whip those down smooth (wind over the cable connection with wire). Wire wrapping gives a more old-timey look, too.

... another little trick, adding onto Oscar's, is to use a small piece of electrical tape to pull the tag end against the standing cable before sliding the heat shrink tubing over the tag end.  The electrical tape will keep individual wires from poking through the heat shrink tubing, now or later.  cheers, Ken
