Have you considered a single instrument and rotary
selector switch to manually scan through the
array of thermocouples?

. . . an option:

here's a rotary switch, 2 pole, 6 position
made by folks who used to set the gold standard
for consumer grade rotary switches

here's a lot of 5, prefabricated thermocouples
3 meters each in length . . . price is
right.

Make your own grounded couples by crimping a PIDG
terminal on the business end. Cut the connector
off the other end so you can run the bundle through
the firewall.

Install crimp d-sub pins on the instrument end
with mating connector on your switch assembly.

If you need to pull the thermocouples back through
the firewall, just extract the pins from the
d-sub connector.

This array of materials combined a k-reading
instrument will give you access to 6 points
of interest in a minimum of space and $

Bob . . .

Un impeachable logic: George Carlin asked, "If black boxes
survive crashes, why don't they make the whole airplane
out of that stuff?"
