HI Charlie,

When I hit reply to an email it launches with To:
kolb-list(at)matronics.com. I get the same thing if I hit reply all.

I replied to Chris' email and it went to the list.

My reply came back into my inbox just like any other post.

However, from time to time I see replies to emails that I never got. Not
always but enough to cause me to question if I am seeing every post.
That is a glitch in my book.

Another list serv that I belong to has the same "missing posts" glitch.
That system works a little differently in that my email program
(Thunderbird) recognizes it is a list server and gives me options to

Reply (which goes to the original poster directly)

Reply List (sends to the general list email address)

That one is having a quirk in it right now in that it is rejecting all
my send messages, but I can send to the individual poster just fine. I
haven't looked into it to see what is going on. Might be something on my
end.

In any case, I really prefer list server over forum posting because I
don't have to mess with logging on and searching for new posts. All the
messages come to me automatically (supposedly) and I let Thunderbird
sort them all out into the proper folders. That way when I look at my
email, everything is all there in one place.

One forum I belong to sends one email (sort of like a digest) each day
with all the new topics. When I click on the link it takes me to the
thread (after logging on). I can then reply from there, which
automatically subscribes me to that thread, or I can just subscribe
without sending a reply. This is workable, but not as nice of a setup as
the Kolb list.

I get email delivery, and didn't see the original message, but did get
this one. I just checked my spam folder & don't see it there, either.

FWIW, there *are* both some periodic glitches and some hard-wired
quirks to the Matronics system. For instance, if you reply to an email
post, you will not get your reply in your inbox (a quirk, in my
opinion). Not getting messages in general is obviously a glitch.
