Since we didn't schedule a 'first of month' fly-in for

Feb./and Sat. is forecast to be 'windy', how 'bout

late lunch on Sunday at LKR? If interested, pls. say

so, and I'll make sure locals are ready w/ vittles. 

thinking 1-1:30 to allow for church.  RenoRed.

Man it feels great.  I think the first flight may be Sat or Sun.

Do the people on the list know how good Bobby's over at Wadesboro - Anson 

County N.C. - Hamburgers are???  He cooks a huge plate full every Sunday 

Rain or shine, with a big hopper full of French Fries and some sort of Cake 

or pie for desert......  5 bucks for a plate full plus they sell gas there 

pretty cheap.



There is usually a good crowd there, with several people on this list based 

there.... unlike Lancaster where there is usually no one there.



A group of us from Goose Creek are planning to fly over to Anson this Sunday 

for lunch.

Just re-read this post, wasn't meant to be a  negative post, just remember 

reading alot of articles in the magazines that it isn't wise for the builder 

of a plane to do the first flight. Lot's of things can go wrong in a hurry, 

best to have someone with lot's of experience in case something weird 

happens.

Thanks Bill.  No I was at Lincoln County in a 6A and flew it for 2 hours and made around 10 landings.

Tad, I flew my RV-6A with NO flight time in an RV.  I couldn't even find a 

Grumman Tiger to fly.  Closest I could get was a Piper Warrior.  The RV is 

such an honest aircraft that even when encountering an attention absorbing 

high oil temp problem on the first flight, it took none of my attention to 

fly the aircraft.  But, you already know that, since you have flown and 

landed RVs.  In my opinion, there is no reason not to make the first flight 

yourself - unless you simply feel uncomfortable doing it - which is a 

sufficiently valid reason in my book.



I think Ron is volunteering  to get the first flight {:>)
