Where are people mounting their Trio or Navaid Autopilot servo's these days?

I see that www.safeair1.com has a wing tip kit for the servos but would like
some real world experience from you flying RV pilots. I want know if I
should order the servo before I close out my wing?

Anyone using the SafeAir1 kit? Is it worth the $130?

Scott, the Trio wing servo mounts very nicely on the rib next to the bell
crank. You fabricate a stiffener for the rib. I can take a shot and send
it too you or post it on my website. Their new servo is very, very nice.

Here ya go. Just fabricate a couple stiffeners and you're good to go. You
can do it after the wing is finished but of course, it is easier before the
fact. Great company to deal with.

I think you will like the safeair1 kit, I made my own and put the navaid
servo on the wingtip, and it didn't turn out
very good, after doing it this way , it takes a longer control rod , I
wished I would have put it inside the wing.
I thought It would be easier to work on.. not sure yet.. time will tell.

Hi Scott,
I have attached two pictures of my solution and two pictures from others. Also check Sams descriptions at <http://home.hiwaay.net/~sbuc/journal/index.html>.
Let me know if you are unable to see the pictures.
