Hello list,

After making a little noise on this list Russell Lepre’ finally sent me the refabricated side panels for my CH650.

Since I made a stink it is only fair I let you all know that he did ultimately come through.  It took more than four months but they finally came in today and I guess late is better than never.

I will let you all know if they fit any better than the first pass in a separate email.

This link works for Flight Crafters http://www.flightcrafters.com/

The seats they made are fine, fit well and look really nice.

What’s left:
Rigging aileron Cables
Setting Flaps
Front Canopy
Details, details, details and paperwork.

It is funny that you mentioned this. I own a 601 HDS that I am thinking about upgrading. Yesterday I looked up the upholstery package that Zenith offers and they put a link to Flightcrafters, but the link does not work. Also Flightcrafters is not listed anymore in their list of builder assist centers so it looks like they are no longer in operation.

Hi Guys,

A couple of years ago I bought seats and fuselage side panels for my 650 from Flight Crafters, Russell Dupree. The seats are fine and well made. However, when I went to finally install my fuselage side panels in December they did not fit properly. I contacted Flight Crafters and spoke to Russell. He told me he was currently working on a 650 and would be happy to rework the panels after sending them back to him at my expense. At the start of December I sent the panels back. Now, I can’t get the guy to return a phone call, an email and his web site has been taken down. I have called 4 times and sent 3 or four emails. He has not replied to a single message.

Has anyone else worked with this guy?

If Russell has gone out of business that is fine, I feel his pain. However, his phone picks up and you can leave messages; but he won’t return my call or an email. Unless he is dead, there is no excuse for that. If he is out of business he should just “man up” call me and apologize, at least I would be able to respect that. However, now that their web site is down (it was working last Saturday) and since he won’t reply I am feeling ripped off and I am officially pissed off.

If he ever resurfaces, regardless of his story…I would warn any and all of you to deal with him carefully.

If the guy has fallen off the Radar ZAC should pull the link from their site. They should not be sponsoring any vendor who treats a ZAC customers this way, it puts ZAC in a bad light also.
