Now that #65 is airborne at last, I'm compiling my POH. Does anyone have
any figures I can use as a starting point for my take-off and landing
charts? Any figures available on speed for best glide time and best glide
distance etc also greatly appreciated ...

Many thanks!

Hey Wayne: Congratulations on getting in the air.
Obviously the take off and landing distances will vary with altitude. At Sea Level, using 20 degrees of flaps, T/O distance is approximately 400 feet. No flap distance is about 500+ feet. Obstacle (50 foot) clearance distance at SL is about 850 feet with 20 flaps and 1000 feet with no flaps. That assumes a speed of 60 mph with flaps and 80 mph with out.
Best glide speeds are 87 mph with flaps up and 80 mph with 30 degrees of flaps. I do not have a distance, but you can figure around 17 - 1 horizontal distance to altitude as a starting point. Obviously, you will have to make up your own charts after your test flights.
Best of Luck.
Lynn
