Hi RV-aviators:
After a number of years of “I’ll get to it soon” I have decided to put my RV-6A Kit,
engine and propeller up for sale.
I acquired the RV in early 2000 while I was in flight training for my private ticket.
Shortly after (a few months) the kit’s arrival I had an unfortunate accident and as a result
my left shoulder required surgery. Recovery was slow and painful. My flight training was
halted and my work on the RV also stopped. A few years later, when I had recovered
most of my mobility, I started flying and got the private ticket but my desire to build the
airplane was gone. I kept it thinking I will eventually start up again, but I never did.
So it’s time for someone else to try their hand. Here is what I have for sale:
RV-6A QUICKBUILD kit with the sliding canopy, electric flaps, electric trim, engine
mount and has the FULL Finishing Kit
NOTE: Even though this is a Quick Build kit it came with a standard empennage kit.
(All the QB kits were on a boat coming from the Philippines, but they had the standard
Tail kit in stock). So the work that I put into this kit was to build the Horizontal
Stabilizer, Vertical Stabilizer, Rudder and both Elevators. None of the ‘QB’ parts have
any work done to them.
There are a substantial number of extras included with the kit. Examples are: 'Mini plan
set (in addition to regular plans), Full set of assembly videos both QB and regular,
'Firewall Forward' book set, numerous books on flight testing homebuilts, 'Aerolectric
manual, sheet metal tools and much much more.

The airplane and other goodies are in a storage area in Fremont California. while I
currently reside in Georgetown Texas. I will be back in the Bay Area after the Memorial
Day holiday and can arrange to extend my stay if I have any interested parties.
Please note that his is a 'Pick-up' sale. Shipping is not an option. When I bought
the aircraft, I drove it back (in a rented truck) from Oregon!
