List:

John Galt is the protagonist in Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged." In the novel Rand describes a declining world where the true virtues of men- rationality, productivity, and pride- are denounced as impractical evils. Once overflowing with living energy, New York City’s streets are now grey and dismal. John Galt, the man who has uncompromisingly preserved his virtues, sees the state of mankind and refuses to accept it. He will not wait hopelessly for the fulfillment of empty promises of a better future preached by the mystics and the ‘humanists’; he will not stand by and watch a mindless collective destroy the men he respects. John Galt acts. Unlike the biblical Creator, he does not actively wipe out the human race; instead, he cleanses the world by removing its prime movers, knowing that the corrupt, those who live as parasites off of the productive man, will not survive without their hosts.

P.S. The above is from an essay by a college student, that took 1st place in a contest sponsored by the Ayn Rand Institute. I thought the name was familiar but I read the book 30 years ago and couldn't quite place it. Interesting, eh?

Marco:

I suspect this was lost on most of the list members, but very good find.

I wish you well and you are a credit to this list.

Regards,

John

I am tired of asking my fellow students to write university course works and tests for me. It takes them a long time, and the quality is not the best. I would like to try legit essay writing service but have some doubts. I do not want to waste my money. Can anybody confirm that professionals work there?

Dagny Taggart is the protagonist of the novel. He struggled a lot in his career, somehow I was able to meet him a few years ago and he was looking to start a replacement fob business and store in the United States.

She is vice-president in Charge of Operations for Taggart. I love her very much and following her novels since 2019. While staying in a key cutting store where I work I like to read her novels in my free time.
