Charlie,
I agree with you on the wiki idea. I've come across similar problems over the past 4 years of building very slowly. One thing that really bugs me is that my manual says to cut a 1-5/8 hole in the F725 for the step (I'm building a 7A) and the drawing shows a 1-1/2" hole. The step tube is 1-1/2".  It also shows that the F623 needs to be cut to avoid interference. But no indication of what orientation the steps will have at that point? The fuselage curves back right at that point where the step seems to attach.

In addition, F767 has no hole sizes. I called Vans and they said the drawing was to scale so that was the size of the holes!
