On an AI-14RA engine, oil pressure gauge showing intermittent reading. Showing correct reading and then no reading at all. Now and then shows correct reading again or nothing.
Have connected another gauge to test and same problem, have tested wire connection between gauge and transmitter/sender unit, also good. Could plugs be faulty or sender unit.
What other test should I do.
Sounds to me like a bad connection but where?
Can you assist?
Thanks

I would suspect a faulty oil pressure sender.

Thanks Denis,
I was hoping to be something else, like the actual plugs but they look pretty solid to me.
Do you know where I can get a spare oil pressure sending unit?
Thanks

Try Jill at M14P or Doug Sapp.

Also George Coy. If he has them, his prices are very reasonable.

Sorted. It was a faulty sender unit.
Thanks to all.
