Recommendation for a better starter than the Sky-Tec?

We've been flying a Sky-Tec LS starter for about 15 years now. I have to fix it at least once a year and it's been in for factory overhaul three times in less than 2000 hours. I'm tired of it. (The factory says it won't need an overhaul until 2700 hours, but that's not our experience.) If nothing else, the Solenoid fails about every 6 months to a year. (I wrote here before about buying Lifetime Warranty solenoids from OReilly Auto Parts.) The factory keeps blaming "vibration" for the premature failures. But I've prop balanced our engine to some ridiculously low ips. So it's difficult to understand how it could be vibration. (I also rewired our starter system to bypass the contactor on the solenoid, which was also a recurring point of failure on this design.)

Please, what starter are you running in your 4-banger Glasair that has been trouble free? I'm tired of hand propping.

Mike, I use a BC starter along with their battery, and linear voltage regulator.
