There is a two pack of cleaner plus protectant that works very well from Aviation labs. I pick it up at Oshkosh every year. It comes to about five dollars a can and works better than plexus. Usually they are in the south east hangar. The cleaner works very well for removing bugs and everything else. It's worth a shot before anyone stocks up on a case of anything else.

I think this is what Tim is referring to. The cleaner melts the leading edge bugs off in seconds. It was $5/can (15oz) at Osh.
