Next question! I would like to fit a pair of drip trays under the carbs on my 912ULS to protect the carbs from the heat from the exhaust. It looks very tight under there, especially on the starboard side close to the starter motor. Can anyone reassure me that they will fit OK before I order them? I do have the Rotax carb heaters fitted also.

They will not fit if you have the Skydrive carb heat blocks installed

OK, I am slightly confused. Alfred says that they will fit but Ira says not. The drip trays I am looking at are the bowl shaped cast aluminium ones. They mount between the inlet manifold and the rubber flange that the carbs bolt to. Maybe there are other alternatives.

Richard,
There are indeed two different types of Rotax drip trays. I have the flat version that Rotax sold with their airbox. I don't know if they sell it separatly. See the attached pictures.
