Thanks guys. I still havent picked up the project. A few more
weeks. Mark im from the Rhode Island Donahue clan. That would be
cool if related. Also, someone mentioned a kitfox off airport
landing. The kitfox im buying has an instrument panel purchased
from a slightly bent kifox. N211ES. Would be neat to find the
  history of it. Paul

				Hey Lynn!

Last I heard, you were flying behind a Jaibiru. Tell us about going radial with your Model IV. Post pics!! Better still, video! Love the sound of the Rotec.

				Hi Marco-
The Jab seized up due to a broken valve head...at altitude with
floats on. Made a landing, and got her back home, and pulled the
engine. About a week later, I ordered a Rotec radial engine...the
R2800, 7-cylinder. It took 8 months to get the conversion completed,
but I got her flying again, and now have 20 hours on the new combo.
I'm still chasing a few minor oil leaks, but for the most part,
things are going ok. Hope to start making some fly-ins as soon as the
 state starts warming up.

Radials are a bit like Harleys... They like to leave their mark. Of
course I would expect that the newer seals on a Rotec engine will be better
than seals in an old P&W.

Fly the wings off her with a great big grin on your face!
