I have never seem one last very long in an airplane, They were popular in the U.S. in the eighties, but they didn't last long. Service was bad, and lots of noise.

You might check some of the Blogs to see what they are saying now.

Never heard of them!

I note that the copyright notice on their product page is datestamped 2014-2015, which does not give the impression that they have done anything very exciting lately.

Just had a read on the Van's forum and they seem happy with their products.
I'll find out a bit more before purchase

I did a bit of research awhile back on them, and am planning on a INS429 in
my panel as an input to my EFIS. They seem ok..

I missed this post,
I’ve looked at Val Electronics for years. I know a few RV guys that have them. They can be remoted or in panel.  The VOR/ILS with head is too deep for the Europa panel so I never pursued it.

They back up their product. I’m not sure how it holds up to the heat, but Chief Airproducts likes them and sells them.  Com fits a standard 7 inch hole and the VOR/ILS with indicator is a 3 1/8”.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm looking for a VOR/ILS/GS only unit as I have a comm radio unit already. The Nav 2000 is compatible with my SkyView unit too. Just what I'm looking for. Were you referring to the Nav 2000 when you said it was too deep? I'll have to measure up and see if I can squeeze it in.

Does anyone know of other Nav only units available?

Thanks
Carl
