Hi there,
The elbow is not welded to create angle. It is bent at the manufacturing stage to the required angle. It is long enough to be cut to fit.
Cheers,
Tim

Put me down for one pending new Mod. Just in case my installation is not approved with welded alloy angle?

Hi All
Damn! Just fitted Tim's pipe and now it looks like I will have to remove and replace the rubber hose with something else, yet to be decided by the LAA.
Two steps forward and one back!
Picture attached - the pipe supplied by Tim is bent not welded.

Hi All,
Here is a LAA Mod Approval for this Aircraft only. I think it must be the
old "Classic" fuel system?
Hope this attachment comes through.

Hello Tim,

I would like to join the list of people who want an aluminium elbow, looks like you might need a suitcase full of them when you visit the UK.

I'll supply my details in a PM.

Dave

Hi Gilles
No, it's not peel ply. I think it is a tracer thread woven into the glass fabric to ensure the glass is laid up in the correct orientation during the moulding lay-up.

Here is a picture of the inside of the rear fuselage.

Hi Gilles
No, it's not peel ply. I think it is a tracer thread woven into the glass fabric to ensure the glass is laid up in the correct orientation during the moulding lay-up.

Here is a picture of the inside of the rear fuselage.

Hi All,
Just been down to see the manufacturer of the elbow. They said there would be no problem in setting up the jig again. They are going to come back with a price for 10 and 20 pipes.
Will keep you informed. Will not give the go ahead until we have enough orders and the LAA Mod. approval is through. Is has already been approved with one builder in 2011 but I am sure that was the Classic Fuel System with the centre roof inlet. However no real difference.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi All

This 13070 is for the Classic long long rubber pipe. Watch this space

Hi All,
Here is a LAA Mod Approval for this Aircraft only. I think it must be
the old "Classic" fuel system?
Hope this attachment comes through.
Cheers,
Tim
