Brake connectors supplied by Glasair for fixed landing gear leak fluid and the top nut cracks. I replaced mine with NAPA 68X2 WH Fittings. When installing them first slide the nut over the line followed by a brass ferrule then insert tube. Push the brake hose into the brass caliper fitting until the brake line bottoms. Tighten the nut until you can no longer slide it through the ferrule then turn it two to three flats. I couldn't locate my spare insert tubes and just tightened the cap until the ferrule bit onto the brake line. To prevent the brake line from melting from a hot brake disc I wrap my brake hoses with white spiral wrap. I also have used a spiral wrap made from aluminum foil. The wrap also protects the hose from any chafing against the caliper. To avoid melting a brake line during a take off run just tap the right brake until rudder authority comes. To avoid over heating your rotors and causing a braking fire on a landing roll, apply full aileron, back stick and rudder movement to slow the plane down while occasionally tapping the brakes. If you have a passenger open the hatch when the plane begins to slow down while having the passenger holding onto it. My wife even uses our Ipad cover as an air brake by holding it out the window.
