I painted mine eight years ago with Zolatone, it's showing wear and tear and I'd like to repaint it, but the good people in California's EPA have cause Zolatone to disappear from the shelf. Plus I'd like to use a roller and not have to tape and cover everything in the cockpit. Any ideals or suggestion?

Second question: I have the Europa seat belts and would like to get a better pair. I still use the back of the seat for the shoulder straps and it has work well for me. Any suggestion?

Hi Rick,

Re: painting, i've found the suede-finish Nextel paint range to be very good - a wide range of colors, two-pack so it can be thinned and sprayed easily but it gives a very respectable finish if simply brushed on. Also a good weight-save alternative to carpeting (but i guess you already know that).

German sourced so not cheap, but durable and anti-reflective so good for e.g. instrument binnacles. My UK source is Mankiewicz, there are US distributors. See

Hope that's useful . . .
Clive.

Hi Rick,

concerning your second question (seat belts). As I've already mentioned recently on this forum, I have a set of Shroth, which have made some for Europas as well.
