Hi American Owners,

I have to sell my Canadian registered Europa (with both sets of wings) and prospective buyers are asking me how to register it in the US. If anyone has information on this, please let me know. I think that at least two Europas have gone south.
Karl

Karl,
It should be easy to register your Europa in the USA. Go to:

https://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/aircraft_certification/aircraft_registry/register_aircraft/

From there you can find out what you need to do and download the necessary forms.

I believe that all that is needed is a valid bill of sale for the aircraft. You provide that with the necessary forms and you will receive your registration within a few weeks.

Once you have your registration you can bring in a DAR to go over the aircraft and paperwork to obtain your airworthiness certificate.

Don’t forget……a DAR is a very helpful person. But they are getting VERY expensive! If you have an FAA MIDO near you, contact them to see how long it would take for them to send one of their inspectors…..for FREE! You already pay your taxes and this is a benefit.
