				| Hi all,
I've had a landing gear handle with an intermittent air leak on my Yak-50. I say "intermittent" because it emits a very faint hissing noise when the main air is on... have been flying it this way for ~45h now, and some days the hiss is not audible. Have tried to locate it with soapy water, etc - no joy.

What I have noticed is a slow buildup of rust-colored "dust" around the gear handle (see picture). When the light is "right" during gear extension, I can also see what looks kind of like a puff of some very fine dust come out of the handle.

Is this bad? Have a hopefully irrational fear that my gear system is rusting from the inside out.
 Thanks
 Andrew
