Is anyone out there flying a 582 with an IVO Prop in flight adjustable ultralight prop?
The electric motor on mine has failed twice now, the motor goes open, no continuity.
I sent it in for repair the first time and it lasted about two flights and failed again with the same problem.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I have a Kitfox 3 with a 582 engine and an E gear box with 2.62 to 1 gear ratio.Ā  1150 hours on the plane.
Help!

I have a good motor for ivo 3 blade. I took mine off to make it a legal sport pilot arrangement. Let me know if you want it. I guarantee it to work.

Hi Harold,
IĀ“ve used IVO prop (Medium, Patriot and ultralight) in flight adjustable, for many years, in a Kitfox S6 a Vans RV-12 both with a Rotax 912S, and a Drifter with a Rotax 582. I consider itĀ“s a good system and a reasonable price but they havenĀ“t solved the problem with the electric motor. IĀ“ve changed it so many times and I may tell you that itĀ“s the fact I want to change my prop. IĀ“m so tired to call them to Ca. so many times.

Last November a group of friend and myself went to Baja California and of four with IVO prop, three had problems with the electric motor, the same reason that you say. Very bad luck. When I travel far I always carry one on board.
