I have been adjusting blade angle for over a week and have yet to hit redline on the tach. I have adjusted my blades to almost a flat angle and still cannot hit 2350 RPM, my max has been 2250. I checked the small filter on the nosecase and it is clean, I am getting full movement on the actuator with no movement of the cable housing and my tach is accurate. Is my next step moving the arm on the governor?

Phil

I had a similar issue initially as the AC came from the PLA and couldn’t quite get to the redline rpm.

I moved the governor stop and that made a little difference but it was unpredictable and that’s when we noticed the teleflex cable clamp which is plastic (located located up on the gill shutter frame) was cracked and allowing the outer tube to move. We remade this part in Ali

Check that first and let us know.

I checked the cable housing attach, it is fine. I will try adjusting the cable length and then move the arm on the governor next.

Thanks

wind the fine pitch governor stop away from the arm a few turns and try again. Set your blade angel back to std of 16 deg+/- .1' and see what happens. That said, 2250 is more than enough power and saves wearing the engine out..Of course your engine is able to produce full power too I would assume?

I have tried different blade angles and moving the stop. My pitch control needs more travel at the fine pitch setting is my guess. Moving the governor arm a notch may help. I agree, 2250 RPM is plenty of power, but not set by the book which bugs me..I will track this down Confused

Thanks

I finally moved the splined insert within the governor control arm one spline which gave me 100 RPM more, then it was Miller time.

Thanks to all who offered solutions and suggestions.
