Hi Bud, thanks for your reply. Just to be sure, he says his front mounting bolt and structure are all sound and in good order. It’s the rear mount (where the arm passes through the fin close out) that he is concerned about as that 7/8” hole has become oversize with wear - elongated in an upwards direction such that the tail wheel arm is quite close to the base of the rudder.

His concern is whether it is acceptable to pack that space out with redux/ flox around (especially above) the arm to eliminate the wear in the hole, or if a more elaborate repair in this area would be recommended. There is no further damage to the close out area, just an oversize hole!
