Plane came with a digital instrument for VOR, localizer.
I want to have the cockpit as original as possible.

When I bought the plane they gave me the original gyro.

The rear cockpit has the gyro but dont seem to work.
I see the plug on the front panel to put the gyro, I plugged it turned ON and nothing happened.
How do I test it?

The gyros require power from inverters to power. The inverters "invert" 28 volts DC to 36 volts AC 400 hertz. There are two of them in the a/c. When you power up the inverters, the two gyros are suppose to spin up. Assuming the two inverters have not been removed from the a/c, they both need to be turned on for the two gyros to function.
Many people remove the inverters when they install digital instruments.
