				Hi all,

 Asking for your considerate advice.

During my holidays I've been flying a light aircraft with a FUNKE
 ATR833-II-LCD VHF and ANR headsets.

All was going well, when suddenly yesterday during the second flight of
the day, other aircraft advised us that they got the carrier only, while
we received them loud and clear.

Today made several tests with different headsets and different setting
 with no success.

Reception is still excellent, mike PTT triggers the little TX on the
display, but we seem to emit the carrier only with no modulation.

Any ideas as to what to check, and what might the possible suspects be?

 Any input appreciated,

 Thanks a lot,
 --
 Best regards
 Gilles

Suspect the mic jack or wires between the mic jack and radio or the radio itself.
Also make sure the radio is well seated into its rear connector.

Thank you Joe for your advice.

Unplugged and replugged the rear connector, and the bundle didn't show
 obvious signs of damage.

Will check the wires though nothing was plugged/unplugged and both mic
transmission failed at the same time...

Antenna problems could allow reception but not transmission.
But a faulty antenna would not explain the carrier being transmitted without modulation.

Maybe a fault in the audio amp, while the final amp is still passing the carrier wave?
