I logged on yesterday and saw at least thirty emails about "Weather"

My apologies to all, if I offended any of you with my comments.

I was not the person to bring up the point about the weather, nor did I
start the Bush comments.

I had not heard of this rule on the RV10 list, but as a general rule, the RV
10 list is certainly not the best place to discuss such things as politics
and religion or global warming.

Unfortunately, time on the weather issue is running in short supply and
pleasantries I'm afraid with many people don't seem to get the points
across.

I can become very passionate about things I believe strongly in. Climate
change and human behavior and its excesses are two such things.

Sorry again!

John G.

John,

Have you ever heard the one about not talking about politics or religion,
especially on an RV10 blog?

Don't fret John.
We old timers, (back when there was only one RV list & the RV-6 was not
yet airborne) we all had thick skins & were opinionated. We jabbed & joked
with each other like family. Lots of humor, serious talk but open and ready
with a snappy comeback.
As (RV 6, 7, 9, "A", and 10's) lists were added each had it's own
newcomers, those who's ONLY interest was in "their" model and "their"
questions like: What do I do with tab A ?, does it go into slit AA or B ?.
What primer do I use ?. Why can't Van just.......... Each list has had it's
list police, those guys who wanted ONLY their problems considered. BUT as
each list GREW UP the banter & jabs were added.
The RV-10 list is finally coming around, less whining about a fit that's
not perfect and more humor & FUN. The great thing is at fly-ins the RV
family draws closer together. The grumpy dogs ??, they are the ones that
help no one else, snap if you ask "stupid" questions and then wonder why
they never get invited to fly somewhere for a $100 burger.
Me ?, I get on my soap box now & then....Do Not Archive & trimming of
posts being two items we use to make the list easier to use and more
helpful.
Just wait & jump in with your .02 cents worth as soon as Matt gets around
to starting an RV-12 list. KABONG HRII N561FS Do Not Archive (and notice
the trimmed posts)
The Rocket hanger at APV is always open if the door unlocked. Tom
"Gummibear" Gummo (my building partner) checked the records and N561FS has
given more 130 free rides in the past five years, Young Eagles, Bald Eagles,
airport bums & RV builders of all types.

Thanks!

A side note:

I really loved hearing the stories about our missing compatriot who seems to
have become a legend. Folk lore or legend. The story makes me sad. Can't
anyone find this guy and let him know he has become a legend?
