Hi Tore,

Yes, No Sun 'n Fun as we were busy building parts and fighting the old style L/G on the demonstrator. Thankfully the new L/G system works very well and we won't have future problems. Your PSRU is shipping this week. Maybe then you give up on all this name calling stuff. You'll be quite happy when you see the final product. I do need a phone number for you for the shipping airway bill.

Ed

Ed,
I have given you both my cell no and you already have my home no , so which nos is it you want ?
And I take it for granted you are shipping it surface , not air , and door to door , so I can be there to sign for it .
Just curious ; when have I called you names ?

Ed, the new landing gear setup is of great interest to us here in Portland.
Do you plan to add a description to the website? Did you by any chance
utilize the Siemens digital unit?
Thanks,
Ken Melvin, N51KX

Ed,
"next week " has now come to an end , and my PSRU is finally on it`s way after nearly 4 years of promises of "next week and within 30 days" .
So of course you are now going to e-mail me details of shipping , including tracking no ?

Hi Ed,
you better check with the shipping company as to what happened to my PSRU .

Whenyou it shipped 2 weeks ago you "forgot " to inform me how it was shipped , so I´m unable to track it from here .

Ed ,
since you refuse to give me any details , I checked with Burlington , but they had no records anywhere that you had shipped anything to me .
SURPRISE !
They also confirmed that if you did , I should have it by now .

Could it be you are lying to me again , if so that is not very smart !
Thought I made that clear when I wisited Santa Paula in March .
You are obviously doing this to quite a few of your customers ( taking their money , and not delivering ) so several are looking into taking legal action to get the money back .

I should also think this will severly hurt your ability to do business , as more and more people gets wise to how you operate !

Ken ,
you are of course familiar with the control unit that Mr Hurlburt in FL has
developed ?
It does away with all the cables and stuff by adding a neat little hyd
cylinder to open the downlocks , and sequenses U/C and doors by means of a
compact little box .
Both Jan and I have this , and I have seen it work .
And this guy DELIVERS promptly as soon as he has been paid .
Even made some mods , and made new scematics overnite for me !

Tore

I would be interested to find out more about that system, Tore. It sounds
like the system developed by the late David Bothe. I sent Ed a Siemens CPU
similar to that used by Wickham in Australia, and which integrates the
sequencing of valves for the system. Amongst other things, Ed and colleagues
have been experimenting with that unit. But more importantly, Ed has been
looking at overcoming the fragility and relative unreliability of the
original micro switches. I have no issue with the cable system, which is
very similar to that in the original Mustang. Not too difficult to set up,
and very reliable. But the microswitches worry me. Ed has a better variety
of switch, utilizing the plunger rather than the leaf actuator. Another big
improvement Ed has is the method for securing the inner door actuators.
Simple, elegant, and much more reliable than the screws into wood. Very
similar to that used in the Viper jet. Also, I would like a more reliable
and robust system for emergency release of the gear. Apparently Ed has
arrived at just that. I have no doubts that you will get your PSRU, and
will be very happy with it. Ed is a perfectionist of the first order. I know
it has continued to be a work in progress, and that as a result, your unit
will be better than ours! Keep the faith.
Thanks,
Ken Melvin, N51KX

Ken ,
it is David Bothe´s system , but Frank Hurlburt designed it from what I
understand .
I met him a couple of times , and he seemed very capable and honest .
His company is called Business Engeneering , and the system comes with a
complete owners manual and explains everything in detail and with nice
diagrams and pictures .
As I said earlier , when I needed adifferent layout for the tailwheel , I
had a new diagram for the hyd . and elec . within 24 hours .
Have his phone no. somewhere if you are interested .
I too think my PSRU will be better than yours , but I don´t think I will get
it from Ed .
