Thanks but the Hartzell BA is the FASTEST, faster than the
Whirlwind, Aerocomposite and MT and Sensenich.

Where are you going to get the Whirlwind worked on?
The company has been sold off once already?
What if it goes out of business, get sued?

Prop shops will not work on it, even though the hub is a Mccauley.
The prop has not been tested at all as far as I know, much less
with modified engines (high compression, electronic ignition).

(Second one down is the Hartzell Blended Airfoil, the first is the
good old C2YK/F7666. The WW 200RV is the second fastestest
behind the Hartzell BA and a little faster than the old Hartzell.
The Sensenich does good at that one data point 75% cruise.
I disagree with the calculated 207.9 mph corrected speed for
the sensenich; you'd lose a little more than 3 mph by pulling
back RPM from 2730 to 2500 with the throttle, but still the
sensenich, optimized for cruise, is 2nd or 3rd in speed. I will
point out of course takeoff and climb will be less and also
flying in cruise with either at 2730 rpm or with the throttle
partially closed is not as efficient as a constant speed prop
that allows independent control of RPM from throttle, ie
manifold pressure. However for value and bang-O-buck,
the fixed pitched Sensenich is a great deal, and designed
specifically and tested specifically for the RV, like the
hartzell BA prop is.)



There is nothing wrong with Whirlwind its a fine product as is
aerocomposite and MT, but any composite prop from a small
boutique prop maker is going to be more....well risk. You can't
beat the Hartzell or Sensenich for value and performance on the
RV. Both these companies have MADE props ENGINEERED
specifically for the RV. The other companies basically have
generic props they sell, one size fits all. Also having large
companies with combined experience of WELL over 100
years is a good thing.
