I have a kitfox IV with a 582. The original builder removed the oil injection and premixed his fuel. I want to reinstall the oil injection. Which oil tank will fit under the cowl 582 side mount #881 465, $161.42 or
582 end mount #88146582, $189.95. These are lockwood #s. Or do you have to get a tank and make your own bracket. Also who sells the fuel header tank that goes behind the seat.

I just had to replace my original bottle. The bottle supplied from Skystar
is on the above site from US Plastics. You will have to drill a hole in the
bottom for a bulkhead fitting and modify the threads on the cap so it will
vent. John McBean was out of the bottles so I had to go to US Plastics.
You can use these bottles but will have to fabricate a bracket. Contact
John McBean for the header tank.

Don I never had the original bottle. Which size did you use? Did you have to remove the cowling to refill the bottle? My cowling has a small door close to the back of the cylinder head of the engine.

It was the 64 oz / 2 qt bottle. The location of the bottle is high on the
firewall about center (just aft of the engine head. If you have a small
door located in this area it might just work. Sounds like you don't have a
standard Kitfox cowl where the top is removable?
