Anyone know this plane? I know there are alot of yak pilots in
Alabama. Other than the prop strike - does anyone know its history.
Or the reason the insurance totaled it and bought it. I heard Carl
Hays say that if these engines had a prop strike like this - no need
to worry about the engine and DO NOT tear down to inspect. Would
everyone agree?

I recently did the automotive plugs and wires conversion kit on this
airplane. Paint appeared to be original and in fair shape. Canopy glass
was OK. Engine was quite dry. It's a basic Yak 55 and that's about all I
know about it.

I know it's an aside...the 1987 N155AR also on barnstormers was a total due to a tornado in OK. Caveat Emptor
